MACGYVER | TITLE SEQUENCE
Title Sequence for MacGyver Season 4
ROLES : ART DIRECTION | ANIMATION 2D & 3D | COMPOSITING
Signal created the opening Title Sequence for the 4th Season of the MacGyver TV Show. Our goal was to bring the viewer into MacGyver’s mind through a frenetic journey using complex 3D animations and particle simulations. The project was shortlisted on the AICP Awards in 2020.
ANIMATION
Signal Creative Director, David Wave worked with an extensive team of specialized Designers, a Previz and a Technical team, 2D & 3D Artists, in order to bring this piece to life. We built multiple 3D scenes that we combined seamlessly in one single long camera shot where we comped the 3D assets together with the 2D designs and the credits.
PROCESS | PREVIZ
The sequence was based on a single camera move throughout and connecting 3 different scenarios seamlessly. The first step was to create a previz where we could test the rhythm and the pace of the camera orchestrated with the animation of the all the elements that appear on screen.
PROCESS | 2D ANIMATIONS
We created lots of design elements that will be layered in the main composition. These assets show the attention to detail that we put on the sequence.
