TITLE SEQUENCE FOR MACGYVER SEASON 4 TELEVISION SHOW
ROLE : ART DIRECTION | 2D/3D ANIMATION | COMPOSITING
Our goal was to transport the viewer into the mind of MacGyver. Elegant 3D Design, complex Particle Simulations, and continuous Camera Animation navigate us through the beauty and chaos within. Shortlisted on the AICP Awards in 2020.
ANIMATION
To bring this project to life our team consisted of specialized designers, previz and technical experts, as well as 2D and 3D artists working together.
PROCESS | PREVIZ
The sequence was designed around a single camera movement that seamlessly connected three different scenes. To begin, we created a previz of the sequence to test the rhythm and pace of the camera in coordination with the animation of elements within the scenes.
PROCESS | 2D ANIMATIONS
Our team created several 2D design elements that were layered into the main 3D compositions. These give the scenes detail, beauty, and a deeper level of world-building for the sequence overall.
